Voyplan ("we", "us") helps you plan trips. This policy explains what data we handle and how we protect it. By using Voyplan you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — if you sign in, your email address and authentication identity (managed by Supabase). We never see your password.
- Trip data you create — itineraries, days, places, bookings, budgets, and saved vehicles you add.
- Photos & moments — gallery photos are stored on your device by default; only content you explicitly save to your account leaves the device.
- Location — used only to set a trip's starting point and for live navigation, with your permission. It is not tracked in the background.
- Basic usage/diagnostic data — standard technical logs needed to run the service (e.g. request errors).
2. How we use it
- To generate itineraries, routes, distances, budgets and booking/place suggestions.
- To save and sync your trips and account content when you are signed in.
- To keep the service secure and working reliably.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Service providers
To provide features, limited data may be processed by trusted providers: Supabase (authentication and database), Mapbox / OpenStreetMap / OpenRouteService / OSRM (maps and routing), and Open-Meteo (weather). Only the data needed for each feature (e.g. a destination name) is sent, and each provider has its own privacy terms.
4. How we protect your data
- Encryption in transit — all traffic uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Encryption at rest — account data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase) that encrypts data at rest.
- Access control — row-level security ensures you can only read and write your own account data.
- On-device by default — guest trips and gallery photos stay on your device unless you sign in and save them.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
5. Your choices & rights
- Use Voyplan as a guest without an account (your data stays on the device).
- View, edit or delete your saved trips, bookings, vehicles and photos from within the app.
- Request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
6. Children
Voyplan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
